Neve Residential Recording Studio, 15 minutes away from Paris

The studio

Founded in 1980 by Olivier Bloch Lainé, La Frette Studios is a residential recording studio housed in a 19th-century manor, entirely dedicated to music production. Located just 15 minutes from Paris, in the village of La Frette-sur-Seine, a popular holiday retreat for Parisians in the 1930s, it sits near the former homes of Édith Piaf, Maurice Chevalier, and Albert Marquet.

The manor is equipped with a legendary Neve console, a Piano Room, a Stone Room, a Dead Room, and a Live Lounge, offering a rich and varied acoustic palette. Over time, the studio has expanded by installing microphone tie lines throughout the house while preserving its character with original furniture, vinyl-lined walls, and bookshelves.

Originally conceived as a private studio, La Frette quickly became a sought-after destination for many French and international artists. Olivier Bloch Lainé cultivated an approach focused on independent music and album production, prioritizing authenticity and artistic excellence.

Today, La Frette is run by Olivier and a team of five people.
